Berry Sweet Daddy

I know I’m a cliché.  Orphaned.  Raised in foster care.  Independent to a fault, with trauma so deep only Lucifer himself could find it.

Enter my silver fox neighbor, Wolfgang.  Kind, patient, and far too good for someone as broken as me... or so I thought.

One stormy night he knocked on my door asking for sugar.  Instead, he found the hidden part of me I keep locked away.  Little me.  Instead of judging, he protected me.  By morning we made a deal, he would keep me safe so I could be vulnerable, promising that he loved me just as I am.

But the past never stays buried.

When I run into Mila, another kid from my old foster home, old trouble resurfaces.  Then Tyler, my manipulative ex, shows up insisting I belong with him and not Wolfgang.

I don’t need either of them… or so I keep telling myself.

Because the moment I realize I want Wolfgang to be my Daddy, everything changes.  Tyler refuses to accept my no, and I don’t know what he’s capable of.

What I do know is this... Wolfgang will protect me.  No matter the cost.
