Leo has spent his life slipping through Lady Death’s fingers.  He survived the brutal arenas of Tominay and rose to become the most feared mercenary in the realm.  The same unnatural power that forged him into a living weapon also marks him for execution under royal law.  Hunted simply for existing, Leo fights not for glory, but for his brothers and sister.  He has defied death before, he will not surrender them to it now.

Now they must run… or be destroyed.

When Leo’s employer discovers that his younger brother bears the same forbidden power, the choice they have long avoided can no longer wait.  It's either remain and face certain slaughter, or abandon everything they know and flee in search of freedom.

But escape is never simple.

Pursued by enemies and haunted by the violence of their past, the siblings set their sights on the distant homeland of their people.  A place whispered to promise safety and belonging.  The road is merciless, the future uncertain, and every step forward may lead them closer to salvation… or straight into the bloody fate they have fought so hard to escape.
